Alice M. Cloer of Lenoir, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2025 at home.

She was born on September 5, 1925 to the late Thomas V. Maltba and Ida Hollar Maltba.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stewart W. Cloer; one son, Jerry W. Cloer.; one grandson, Jimmy E. Brown; and eight siblings.

She is survived by one daughter, Diane C. Robinson of Gamewell; three grandchildren. Buddy Greene, Alisa Cloer, Angela Matlock (Derrick); four great-grandchildren, Jake Greene, Abbi Matlock, Hailey Matlock, Kendal Matlock; Derek Haney, and Jessica Crouch; and one sister, Rema Hendrick (Clay).

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Blue Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery with Reverend Tony Greer officiating.

We would like to thank her doctor, Dr. Dana Brown, Amorem Palliative Care, Caldwell UNC Hospital, and Shaire Center Rehabilitation, as well as all her doctors and nurses.
