Mrs. Alice Emmalee Saltz Norris, age 85, of Lenoir passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Amorem Hospice in Hudson.

Born July 6, 1940 in Washington County, VA, Alice was a daughter of the late Emory and Hassie Roark Saltz.  Alice worked in the furniture industry for many years as an upholsterer sewer.  One of the things she enjoyed most was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Thomas Robert Norris; a son, Danny Norris; two brothers, Norman Saltz and Eddie Saltz; a sister, Janie Harper.

Survivors include a daughter, Debra Revis (husband Gary); a son, Tommy Norris (wife Teressa); a sister, Carol Lambert; five grandchildren, Dean Philyaw (husband Jake), Jeremy Philyaw, Christopher Norris, Blake Norris (wife Ashton) and Danielle Norris; her great grandchildren, Amberlyn, Isabella, Briella, Gael, Maci and Lexi; she is also survived by numerous other relatives.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir with Rev. Larry Miller officiating.  Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Norris, Dean Philyaw, Jeremy Philyaw, Tim Jones, Gary Revis and Nathan Saltz.  Calvin Saltz will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM.
