Annie Mae Chandler Shew, age 92, of Lenoir, passed away Friday, February 27, 2026 at her residence. She was born April 16, 1933 in Caldwell County to the late Fredrick and Leatha Witherspoon Chandler. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Garland J. Shew; brother, Claude Chandler; sister, Virginia Harold; and an infant brother.

Those left to cherish her memory include son, Danny J. Shew (Heather) of Cedar Point; two daughters, Rebecca Kathleen Cauble (Dale) of North Myrtle Beach, Georgia Shew Blevins of Lenoir; two sisters, Betty Coffey of Lenoir and Josephine Hoover of Salisbury; grandchildren, Richard Blevins (Sherri),Aaron Blevins(Nicki),Suzanne Beard (Jason), Danielle Self(Matt), Lesley Blevins, Cory Blevins(Brooke),Cassie Blevins, Jeffery Alan Shew, Donna Shew, and Laura Shew; Great-grandchildren, Bailey Blevins, Caroline Blevins, Bryson Blevins, Cayleigh Blevins, William Blevins, Adam Blevins, Carlie Blevins, Taylor Beard, Alexander Beard, Jason Anneheim, and Julia Anneheim.

Graveside service will be held Sunday, March 1, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Worship Point Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Raymond Spann officiating.
