Mrs. Barbara Ann Auton Spann, age 79, of Lenoir passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare.

Born July 29, 1944 in Watauga County to the late Ivan Auton and Della Day Auton.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Clarence C. Spann, three sons, Rev. Raymond C. Spann and wife Debbie of Boone, Dennis C. Spann and wife Venise of Lenoir, J.R. Spann and wife Ann of Lenoir. Three grandchildren, Amanda Beane and husband Dustin, Grayson Spann and Mason Spann. Three great-grandchildren, Allie Beane, Avery Spann and Rhea Beane; honorary grandkids, Jordan Taylor and Ashleigh Taylor; she is also survived by numerous other relatives.

A celebration of Barbara's life will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Grandview Park Baptist Church with Reverend Raymond Spann officiating.  Interment will take place at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Blowing Rock.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Edmisten, Shane Wilson, Mike Willis, Eric "Hot Rod" Miller, Phillip Killian and Mark Annas.  Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Greene, Ronnie Greene, David Norris, Roger Edmisten, Mikah Abernathy, Hunter Klontz, Matthew Turnmire, Larron Watson and Billy Beeding.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
