Barbara Reece Calloway, age 89, of Granite Falls passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Amorem Hospice. She was born August 17, 1935 in Granville County to the late George Reece and Nanny Lou Riggan Reece. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Reece and Eddy Reece; one sister, Margaret Calhoun; one son, Michael H. Calloway; and one grandchild, Shelly Stanley.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two daughters, Laura Gale Allen (Jeff) and Connie Ann Robinson (Don); daughter-in-law, Gail Calloway; numerous beloved grandchildren, Brent Edwards (Christy), Jason Calloway, Adam Calloway (Meredith), Cole Robinson (Chelcee), Noah Bradshaw (Heather), Joshua Robinson, Ashley Robinson, Ashley Hammons (Kurt), Zeke Helms, John David Hardin and family, Brayden Powell, Gracelyn Stansfield, Hunter Helms, Hazel Hammons, Andi Calloway, Thatcher Calloway, Hope Edwards, Parker Edwards (Autumn), Thea Edwards, Nathaniel Robinson (Kayla), Caleb Bradshaw (Taylor), Nova Lee Bradshaw, Kaitlyn Bradshaw, Payton Thomas, and Karlee Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel. A private interment will be held for the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
