Barbara Jean Lowe Price, 87, of Lenoir died the morning of Monday, April 28, 2025. Barbara was born in Swain County, NC on November 20, 1937, and was the daughter of the late William Lawton Lowe and Gladys Hester Franklin Lowe.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Paul Lemond Price; her only daughter, Judy Marie Price Greene; son-in-law, Terry W. Greene; sisters, Anna J. Lowe Pope, Helen M. Lowe Matheson, Juanita F. Lowe, and Clara B. Lowe Anderson; and a brother, James L. Lowe.

Surviving are sons, Larry and wife, Joyce, of Lenoir; and Eric and wife, Stephanie, of Morganton; sisters, Darlene Bentley and husband, David; and Marla Greer and husband, Larry, both of Lenoir; grandchildren, Chad Price and Becky of Connelly Springs, NC, Melissa Greene King and husband, Todd, of Gamewell, Matthew Price and wife, Danielle, of Lenoir, Jarrett Greene and wife, Lacy, of Lenoir, Trent Price of Morganton, NC; a special niece who was like a granddaughter, Larissa Sanders and husband, A.J., of Lenoir; and great-grandchildren: Hailey King, Caleb King, Emberlynn Greene, and Cora Price. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and other family members.

Barbara grew up in the mountains of Swain County and the Bryson City area. She was a faithful member of Heavenly Hope Baptist Church of Lenoir. Barbara sang in church for many years in a gospel group with her sisters and her daughter, Judy. She worked in furniture for most of her career, including as an inspector at Broyhill's National Veneer. Barbara was a resilient, kind, and loving person. She will be remembered for her love for her family and her caring nature.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 2, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Harrisburg Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Harris officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Price, Matthew Price, Trent Price, Jarrett Greene, Todd King, and A.J. Sanders.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the church.
