Beatrice Duncan Setzer, age 101, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at WoodHaven Nursing Center. She was born July 9, 1924 in Caldwell County to the late John S. Duncan and Della Page Duncan. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Forest Setzer; one son, Kenneth Willix and an infant son; one brother, Artist Duncan; one grandson, Barry Allen Hall; and one great-grandson, Donathan Carson.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Sallie Raudenbush and husband Charles Johnson and Lillian Jane Hall and husband Allen; and numerous beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marshall Tidwell, Rev. Floyd Boston, and Rev. Manny Elsworth officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Central Advent Christian Church, 104 Willow St NW, Lenoir, NC 28645.
