Bettie Conley Morris, age 77, of Lenoir passed away Friday, April 5, 2024 at her residence. She was born February 15, 1947 in Caldwell County to the late Jesse Monroe Conley and Cora Ann Miller Conley. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one brother, Jesse Conley.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 56 years, Daniel Garland Morris, of the home; one son, Daniel Morris, Jr. and wife Melanie of Maryland; one sister, Willa Howell of Granite Falls; four beloved grandchildren, Andrea Morris, Alicia Morris, Alayna Morris, and Alora Morris; one great-granddaughter, Evelyn Bay; two nieces, Stephanie Hall and husband Jimmy, and Renee Conner, all of Granite Falls; two brothers-in-law, Tommy Morris and wife Jeana, and Chet Morris and wife Donna, all of Maryland; and three sisters-in-law, Anita Morris of Florida, and Linda Parrish and Darlene Robbins, both of North Carolina.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Bentley officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the church.
