Betty Ruth Greene Rothrock, age 87, of Lenoir went home to be with our Heavenly Father Saturday, February 28, 2026. She was born November 4, 1938 in Caldwell County to the late Hiram Ira Greene and Frances Belle Bolick Greene.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Angie Todd and husband Rev. James Todd,III, Sonya Cook and husband Mike, all of Caldwell County, NC; three sisters, Onabelle Bolick, Rachel Thompson and husband Charles, Rosemary Philyaw and husband Venoy all of Caldwell County, NC; seven beloved grandchildren, Mason Suddreth and wife Olivia, Caroline Cook, Jordan Todd and significant other Graham Frye, Hannah Suddreth and significant other Jake Smith, Allie Cook, Morgan Suddreth, and Haley Todd; five great-grandchildren, Trinity Martin, Thorin Stanbury, Oliver Suddreth, Ari and Harlow Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews all that were very precious to her.

Betty spent her life devoted to taking care of her family. She was a very humble soul and did not like to be the center of attention. She was a lifetime member of Mulberry Baptist Church. She was a great cook and talented seamstress. She loved the outdoors, gardening and traveling with her family. She had an undeniable love for her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held celebrating her life Saturday, March 14, 2026, 2:00 pm at Mulberry Baptist Church, 4024 Kirby Mountain Road, Lenoir. There will be a time of fellowship after the service.
