Betty Jean Haas Williams, age 91, of Lenoir passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Amorem Hospice. She was born September 10, 1933 in Caldwell County to the late Bev Haas and Ruth Hazel Greene Haas. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Haas and Bobby Haas; and one sister, Cat Roberts.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 72 years, Alvin N. Williams, Sr., of the home; one son, Alvin N. Williams, Jr. "Peewee" (Kensy) of Lenoir; two daughters, Darlene Benge (Roger) of Granite Falls, and Pam Main (John) of Lenoir; five beloved grandchildren, Johnna Main, Sharon Storie (Tony), Chad Main (Kyrsten), Amber Williams, and Megan Kirby (Keaton); nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Graveside services will be held Monday, November 25, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with Rev. Dr. Myer Dahn officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Storie, Cameron Storie, Paxton Main, Avian Williams, Keaton Kirby, and Dewey Whisnant.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home.
