Betty Mae Hartley Lovins, age 81, of Lenoir passed away Monday, August 31, 2026 at her residence. She was born March 13, 1945 in Caldwell County to the late Philip Carl Hartley and Emma Mae Bolick Hartley. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul A. Lovins; one son, Larry Lovins; one son-in-law, Edd Davis; one brother, James Hartley; one sister, Ruby Beard; and one great-grandson, Kristopher Barbour.

Mrs. Lovins was a longtime devoted and active member of Yadkin Valley Baptist Church where she dearly loved her church family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two daughters, Margaret Davis and Darla May and husband Rodney; one daughter-in-law, Kim Lovins; three sisters, Edith Smith, Shirley Davis, and Louise Robbins; fifteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Yadkin Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Pritchard officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the church.
