Bobby Lee Poarch, age 88, of Lenoir passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Caldwell UNC Health Care. He was born August 26, 1936 in Caldwell County to the late Horace Lee Poarch and Nora Hefner Poarch. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Poarch; and two brothers, Jerry Poarch and Jim Poarch.

Mr. Poarch was a member of Hudson First Baptist Church and sang gospel music for 40 years and was a member of the Samaritans Quartet.

Those left to cherish his memory include one son, Tim Poarch (Kathleen); the mother of his grandchildren, Holly Poarch; two granddaughters, Courtney Poarch and Taylor Poarch; and two great-grandsons, Hunter Anders and Carson Dula.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 10, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. at Hudson First Baptist Church with Rev. Mack Jarvis officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Sardis Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Air Force.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. at the church.

Serving as pallbearers will be deacons from the church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post 29, 401 N Main St, Lenoir, NC 28645; or Hudson First Baptist Church, 345 Main St, Hudson, NC 28638.
