Bonnie Belle Sanders Downs, age 91, of Lenoir passed away Monday, December 23, 2024, at Shaire Center in Lenoir. She was born on September 22, 1933, in Caldwell County to the late Charlie W. Sanders and Mary Alice Roberts Sanders. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter C. Downs; six brothers, Bill Sanders, John Sanders, Carroll Sanders, Melcade Sanders, Ray Sanders, and Dwaine Sanders; and two sisters, Dennette Walker and Beatrice Greene.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Terry Downs and wife Beverly of Wylie, Texas; two sisters, Annie Mae Hice of Lenoir, Mary Dickerson and husband Pete Dickerson of Lenoir; three beloved grandchildren, Stephanie Roberts and husband Wes Roberts of Abilene, Texas, Melissa Downs and Lacey Downs of Carrollton, Texas; four great grandchildren, Tyler Roberts, Kinley Roberts, Annabelle Roberts, and Logan Roberts; a daughter through love, Tammy Gragg; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 30, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Bethel Advent Christian Church with Rev. Don Key officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the church.
