Brenda Kay Hodges, 72 of Lenoir passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023 following a period of declining health.

Brenda was born on January 23, 1951 in Caldwell County to the late R.G. McNeil and Mary Kathleen Winkler McNeil. Brenda was described by those who knew her as the most loving and considerate woman. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend to many. She loved her family, flowers, and was a great cook.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandson, Joshua Gene Hodges and a brother, Robert McNeil.

Those left to cherish memory are her loving husband, Gene Hodges; a son, Gene Allen Hodges, Jr.; sisters, Kathy Robinson and Deborah Graham; granddaughter, Charlotte Hodges; four great-grandchildren; and sister-in law, Judy Burris.
