Bruce Dixon Winkler, 81 of Hudson passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024 following a period of declining health.

Bruce was born on January 8, 1943 in Caldwell County to the late Ransom C. Winkler and Maggie Starnes Winkler.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Diron Kristopher Winkler.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 61 years, Jean Freeman Winkler; and sons, Sandy Deland Winkler and wife Jeanne, and Andy Dwayne Winkler.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Darren Peterson and Rev. Robert Livingston officiating.

There will be no receiving of friends.

Interment will follow at Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church Children's Ministry, 1787 Cajah Mountain Rd, Hudson, NC 28638.
