Caleb Nathaniel Lane, age 29, of Lenoir passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, August 6, 2024. He was born November 23, 1994 in Caldwell County to Douglas Allan Kirby and the late Teresa Houck Turpin. In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Guy and Wilma Anderson; and his mother-in-law, Danita Glazebrook Dellinger.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Ariel Breann Lane, of the home; one daughter, Natalie Kay Lane; father, Douglas Allan Kirby (Aleshia), of Marion; adoptive father, Sidney Lane of Morganton; two brothers, Douglas Allan Kirby, Jr. "Too" and Jason Gabriel Ray Kirby "JG", both of Marion; one sister, Tessa Kay Kirby of Marion; grandparents, Curtis and Libby Houck of Granite Falls; father-in-law, Mark Dellinger of Lenoir; brother-in-law, Tyrin Yates Cobb of Lenoir; sister-in-law, Kristie Huskins (Nathaniel) of Tennessee; one niece, Madison Ogle of Tennessee; and numerous extended family and beloved friends.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Billy Carswell.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
