Carol Lynn Miller
Gilbert
Apr 30, 1971 — Oct 3, 2026
Lenoir
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Lynn Gilbert, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world unexpectedly on Saturday, October 3, 2026, due to a tragic motor vehicle accident. Born on April 30, 1971, in Lenoir, North Carolina; Lynn brought light and joy to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Lynn was the daughter of Patricia Clonch and Bobby Miller, who preceded her in death.
Her legacy of love and kindness carries on through her husband, Vilas Mark Gilbert, with whom she shared a deep and abiding love. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with family and friends.
As a nurturing and dedicated mother, Lynn's greatest pride and joy were her children; Angelica Triplett and husband Dustin, Andrew Gilbert and wife Sarah, and Anthony Gilbert and wife Eva Greene. Lynn's heart expanded further with the arrival of each of her grandchildren; Andrea, Autumn, Tristan, Aldean, Adelynn, Austin, Lillyanna, and Xander, whose lives she blessed with undeniable love and wisdom.
Lynn is also survived by her siblings, who will forever cherish their memories with their beloved sister.
Throughout her life, Lynn was known for her warmth, compassion, and unwavering strength. Her laughter was infectious, she accepted everyone as a friend or family unless she was given a reason not to. She touched many lives and held the hands of some who was passing. She was and still is extremely loved and will be dearly missed, but she is wrapped in GOD'S arms now, with no more pain, worry, or sorrow.
Services to honor the life of Mrs. Gilbert will be announced at a later date.
