Mr. Carroll "Wayne" Hartley, age 73, of Lenoir passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023 at his home.

Born July 18, 1950 in Caldwell County, Wayne was a son of the late Lonnie Percy and Ruby Kincaid Hartley.  Wayne worked as a truck driver for many years.  Wayne enjoyed working on cars and helping others mow their grass.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Harold Hartley; a half-brother, Allen Greene; two brothers in law, Joe Phillips and Joe Cable.

Survivors include a daughter, Regina Deal (husband Carlos); his companion, Bobbi Coldiron; three sisters, Linda Phillips, Mattie Spears and Diane Cable; four grandchildren, Michael Cardwell (wife Stacie), Angel Fox, Jessica Cardwell McKinney (husband Coty) and Alexis Fox; a great grandchild, Addison McKinney; he is also survived by numerous other relatives.

A celebration of Wayne's life will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Greer-McElveen Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Greene officiating.  Interment will follow at Confidence Advent Christian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
