Cathy Propst Shook Matthews, age 65, of Lenoir passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024 at her residence. She was born July 7, 1958 in Catawba County to the late Foy Frederick Propst and Virginia Reinhardt Propst. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one brother, Steven Propst.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 14 years, Paul Mark Matthews, of the home; one son, Brian Mason and wife Mary of Maiden; one brother, Michael Propst and wife Janice of Maiden; four sisters, Debbie Propst of Granite Falls, Janet Lail and husband Robert of Hickory; Donna McComas and husband J.R. of Granite Falls, and Nichole Lamb and husband Robert of Granite Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.
