Cecil Worth Williams, age 79, of Lenoir passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024 at home with his family.

He was born September 23, 1944 in Lenoir to the late Clyde and Elsie Pritchard Williams. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Anna Williams; several brothers and sisters; and one granddaughter, Marissa Williams.

Cecil loved God and his family. He was a member of Patterson Reborn Community Church. he was an avid coon hunter and furniture repairman. He enjoyed being outdoors working with heavy equipment.

Those left surviving include five children, Barry Williams, Faith Williams Salyer, Secret Williams Canipe, Spring Williams- Byrd, and Richard Brooks Williams; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Janice Laws and Clarice Griffin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Rodney Raby. Interment will immediately follow at Mt. Herman United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Stewart Warner, David Day, Tommy Hendrix, Kyle Calloway, Brandon Moore, and Sammy Williams.
