Mr. Charles Larkin Gragg, age 90, of Lenoir passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023 in his home.

Charles was born on August 25, 1933 to the late Virgil C. Gragg and Dollie C. Gragg in Avery County, NC.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Arvil Gragg, Homer Gragg, Richard Gragg, Troy Gragg, and Lockwood Gragg; and sister, Jessie Greene.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 62 years, Winnie Gragg; son, Charles Kevin Gragg and wife Bonita K. Gragg; brothers, Kenneth Gragg and Tony Gragg; grandchild, Patrick Larkin Gragg and first great-grandchild on the way William Larkin Gragg; grandchild, Susan Martin and great-grandchild Ava Grace Martin.

The family would like to extend special appreciation to Mac and Patricia Smith, who has been a huge blessing to the family in their time of need. Patricia has been an angel, and there is no way to give her enough thanks for all she has done.

The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Tony Gragg and family for all of their help.

Charles owned Valley Foods Store. He was a great man who will be remembered as loving and caring to all. He was a friend to everyone he met, and he never bothered a soul. Charles loved baseball, gardening, and Ted Williams. There will never be enough words to express how much Charles was loved and appreciated by those around him.
