Mr. Charles David Teague, age 79, of Lenoir passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Amorem Hospice in Hudson.

Born August 10, 1945 in Watauga County, Charles was a son of the late Charles E. and Carrie Alma Jones Teague.  Charles was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and working on older trucks.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Howard Teague and Jerry Donald Teague; a grandson, Spencer Isaac Hendrix.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Evelyn Brown Teague; three daughters, Jeannie Reid (husband David), Nina Hendrix (husband Ronnie) and Deanna Long (companion Jim Mullins); two brothers, Terry Lee Teague (companion Windy Swink) and Michael Lynn Teague (wife Sharon); two sisters, Carolyn Laws and Martha Anne Jones; he is also survived by six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives.

A memorial service celebrating Charles' life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Greer-McElveen Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Carswell officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
