Mr. Charles "Chuck" Thomas Helton, age 72 passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare.  He was born July 6, 1951 in Montana.

Chuck was a son of Eugene and Beatrice "Bea" Burch Helton.  Chuck was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War.  Chuck was a truck driver for many years.  He was Baptist by faith and loved hunting and fishing.  He will be remembered for his quick witted humor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Harrison Helton.

In addition to his parents, he is also survived by a son, Sergeant Major Michael Helton (wife Cindy); a daughter, Lisa Helton Marley (husband Michael); a brother, Roger Helton (wife Mia); three sisters, Linda Robbins (husband Steve), Debbie Alcorn (husband Ken) and Mary Clemons (husband Wayne); five grandchildren, Zachary Helton, Michaila Helton, Kirstie Helton, Michael Marley and Payton Marley; he is survived by two great grandchildren; special friends, Steve, Lisa and Ethan Hodges; a beloved pet, Charlie.

A memorial service celebrating Chuck's life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Sawmills Veteran's Park.
