Christopher David Cook, age 62, of Lenoir passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare. He was born August 8, 1964 in Caldwell County to the late Don Charles Cook and Maxine Mitchell Cook. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Ann McKinney Cook; two brothers, Terry Lee Cook and Charles “Richard” Cook; and one sister, Sue Story.

Those left to cherish his memory include one sister, Verna Lou West and husband Melvin; step-daughter, Lucinda Landrum; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 28, 2026 from 11:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home.
