George "Chuck" Charles Story, age 61, of Lenoir went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. He was born June 1, 1962 in Caldwell County to the late Charles Maynard Story and Linda Carol Warren Story.

Chuck was a dedicated employee of The City of Lenoir, where he was supervisor over the Cemeteries & Grounds. He was also a member of Zack's Fork Baptist Church.

Chuck was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. Above all, his pride and joy were his two daughters and his five grandchildren. Most importantly, Chuck stood strong in his faith and his love for the Lord was shown in all he did.

Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Brooke Whisnant and husband Daniel of Hudson;  Brittany Smith of Lenoir;  five grandchildren, Talan, Madison, Canaan, Isaiah, and Leelan; numerous beloved cousins, extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with Rev. Nicky Waters officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Whisnant, Talan Smith, Canaan Smith, Isaiah Whisnant, Harold Warren, and Claude Warren.
