Clara Mae Sharpe, age 81, of Taylorsville, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024.

Clara was born on April 21, 1943 to the late Woodrow and Beatrice Sharpe in Caldwell County, North Carolina.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers; Jerry Sharpe, C. Button Blankenship, Clyde Blankenship, and Ted Blankenship and her sister; Edith Urban.

Those left to cherish her memory include her brothers; Richard Blankenship, Robert Blankenship, Ray Blankenship; Bruce Blankenship, and David Blankenship; sister. Julie Gentry; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friend, Jill Williams; many dedicated caregivers; as well as her extended group home family at Little River Group Home.

A funeral service to honor the life of Clara Mae Sharpe will be held at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 11am with Reverend Ron Burgett officiating.

The family will receive visitors at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 10am-11am.

Burial will follow the service at Little John United Methodist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests that donations be made to Amorem Hospice.
