Claude Lawrence Pearson, age 67, of Lenoir, NC, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023 in his home.

Claude was born to the late Claude Pearson Sr. and Jerleen Watson in Burke County, NC.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Vena and Turner Watson; sister Vena Ethel "Ginger" Sluder.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Maida "Betsy" Pearson; son Claude Lawrence Pearson Jr.; daughters Tasha Basile (Kellen) and Emily Staton (Will); brother Jerry Bowman; sisters Joyce Edwards (Barry) and Sabrina Pearson; grandchild J.C Staton; nephew Ethan Sluder; and nieces Beth Dunn (Caleb) and Candice Sluder.

A memorial service will be held for Mr. Pearson on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 11:00AM at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
