Clayton Eugene Robbins, age 81, of Lenoir passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Amorem Hospice of Valdese. He was born August 2, 1942 in Caldwell County to the late Richard Robbins and Louise Coffey Rhodes. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Kirby Robbins; two brothers, Tommy Robbins and Dayton Robbins; one sister, Marie Baldwin; and one grandson, James Clay Mitcham.

Those left to cherish his memory include three daughters, Lisa Robbins Boyce and husband Timothy, Tammie Leah Robbins and husband Clyde, and Della Marie Brown and husband Tracey, all of Lenoir; one "adopted son", Chris Farley; two brothers, Johnny Robbins and wife Nelda of Lenoir, and Paul H. Robbins of Whitnel; five sisters, Sue Owens and husband Earl of Hudson, Mary Robbins of Lenoir, Angel Philyaw and husband Jeff of Collettsville; Kathy Beard of Gamewell, and Wanda Young of Washington; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; five beloved grandchildren, Ashley Arnette, Megan Mitcham, Monica Triplett and husband Joshua, Rodney Tyler Boyce, Emily Davis, and Daulton Shoun; and seven great-grandchildren, Elijah Boyce, Landon Boyce, Adrianna Boyce, Danika Arnette, Adeline Barnes, Sebastian Lainez, and one on the way.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bryan Davis officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Clark Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
