Clyde William Harmon, 73 of Lenoir passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024.

Clyde was born on November 23, 1950 in Watauga County to the late Grover Lee Harmon and Jessie Mae Harmon.

Clyde was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served 8 years, earning 2 commendation medals and promoted to an E-6 Staff Sgt. by the time he was honorably discharged. He enjoyed auto racing, camping, nature, parks and above all he loved his wife, daughter and family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Garry Allen Harmon; and a sister, Betty Ruth Haas.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Helen Harmon of the home; daughter, Tiffany Harmon of Hickory; brothers, Bobby Harmon (Carol) of Hudson, Dale Harmon (Sandra) of Granite Falls, and Charles Harmon (Bonnie) of Hudson.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 7, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Greer-McElveen Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Harmon officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 7, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

The family kindly asks that guests wear navy blue or dark blue in remembrance of Clyde.

Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir with Military Funeral Honors presented by the Caldwell County Honor Guard and the U.S. Army.
