Clyde Herbert Winkler, age 69, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 30, 2026.

Clyde was born in Frankfurt, Germany on November 6, 1956 to the late Clyde Powell and Hildagard Winkler Miller.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Melissa Absher; son, Shane Goble; brother, Richard Winkler; and sisters, Carolyn Winkler and Susan Winkler.

Those left to cherish his memory include his brother, Frank Winkler; nieces, Ashley Poteet (Allan), Kristy Brown (Mark), and Azure Lackey; nephew, Josh Winkler; a very close friend, Neal Byrd; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous other friends and loved ones.

Clyde's favorite Bible verse was Philippians 1:21. "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Clyde was late to everything, but the Lord caught him just in time. He loved his family and grandchildren deeply. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
