Cynthia Seehorn Huntley was born September 27, 1953 and passed away November 6, 2024.  Cindy was proceeded in death by her parents, Ted and Ruby Seehorn.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 17 years, Michael Huntley. She and Michael played together as small children and after each had married, had children, and divorced, a chance encounter reunited them. When Frank Sinatra sang "Love is Lovelier the Second Time Around", he certainly had Cindy and Michael in mind.

She is also survived by her daughter, Olivia Miller (Arthur Piepmeier) and the "grandchicks", sister Ginger Seehorn Lawson (Barry), brother Tom Seehorn, niece Amy Marsaudon (Jean-Pierre), nephews Farrow Seehorn, Jonathon Seehorn, and Harper Lawson (Jenn) and several great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Michael's children, Mikaela (Dusty) Johnson, Cameron (Devan) Huntley, grandchildren Georgia Lynn Johnson, Adeline Huntley and Emma Huntley, Michael's step-mother Sandra Huntley and step-sister Kim Huntley (Ramona).

After graduation from Lenoir High School, Cindy went to work for Bell South, where she formed many friendships she enjoyed throughout her life. Cindy received her insurance certifications and worked for many years in that field in Lenoir. Her last insurance position was with Nationwide. Through the years she was involved with numerous service organizations in Lenoir and was the recipient of awards for her service. But, Cindy was uncomfortable with accolades and wouldn't want them listed. She was simply following the lead of her Dad and Mom, who taught her to have a good and giving heart and to do it for the right reason, and not for the recognition.

With the help of Duke University Hospital and Dr Richard Orlowski at Carolina Oncology, she fought Neuroendocrine cancer for over 11 years. When she had to retire, one thing she missed the most was her "side job" at the Lenoir ABC Store. She loved the people she worked with and enjoyed interacting with the patrons, many of whom she had known for years. She liked to say that she knew the beverage of choice for every citizen of Lenoir and how much of it they drank.

Cindy requested there be no funeral or public Celebration of Life. She wouldn't object to the "Sisterhood" of friends who have been by her side throughout this journey and especially during these last dark days, gathering to reminisce about those fabulous costumes she was decked out in for Halloween, whether it be Wonder Woman or I'm a Brickhouse as the top pick.

Better still, there is a quote attributed to Princess Diana but could very well have come from Cindy's heart. "Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you. Every one of us needs to show how much we care for each other and, in the process, care for ourselves."
