Ms. Cynthia Lynn Voit, age 76, of Lenoir passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Amorem Hospice in Hudson.

Born February 16, 1949 in Aurora, Illinois, Cynthia was the daughter of the late Charles Eugene and Reeva Lucille Howell Voit.  Cynthia had a huge heart and dedicated her life to helping the less fortunate.  She spent 14 years helping Storehouse Daily Bread Ministries.  She was known to feed all the stray animals in the neighborhood, including the raccoons.

Survivors include her son Jason Townsend; a daughter, Reeva Nelson; two step daughters, Allision Cozart and Marie Oswood; a sister, Carroll Zelenik; five grandchildren, Blake Greene (wife Kendra), Amadeus Greene (wife Payton), Kennedy Greene (wife Tatiana), Ashley Townsend and Rachel Townsend; three great grandchildren, Archyr Bryant, Waylon Greene and Valynn Greene; she will be remembered by so many as Nana.

A memorial service celebrating Cynthia's life will be held on March 15, 2025 at 12:00PM at Piccolo's, located at 915 W. Ave. Lenoir, NC 28645. All are welcome.
