Mr. Dan Wardell Herring, age 65, of Lenoir, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024.

Dan was born on August 8, 1958 to the late Ruth Garrett Midgett and Avery Herring Sr. in New Hanover County, North Carolina.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-father, Jimmy Midgett and sisters, Brenda Bullock and Teresa Wilson.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Gloria Gragg Herring; son, James Herring (Janell); daughters, Amarie "Teresa" Broyles and Savanna Hernandez (Isidoro "Torro"); step-daughter, Tracey Cunningham (Donald); brothers, Avery Herring Jr. and Tommy Herring; 12 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchildren.

A Graveside Service to honor the life of Dan Herring will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Closer Walk Baptist Church Cemetery with Bennita Herring officiating.
