Dana Edmisten Storie, age 80, of Lenoir passed away Thursday, December 25, 2025 at Lenoir Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 6, 1945 in Caldwell County to the late Samuel S. Edmisten and Lavada Clarke Edmisten. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey P. Storie; one brother, Sammie Edmisten; one sister, Jonnie Edmisten Laws; and one nephew, Gregory Crisp.

Mrs. Storie was a faithful member of Yadkin Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for very many years. She was a graduate of Happy Valley High School Class of 1963.

Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Melanie Storie; two sisters, Melinda E. Crisp and Renae Munday (Joe); and one beloved niece and numerous nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 2, 2026 at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stuart White and Rev. Jim Hamby. Interment will immediately follow at Yadkin Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Sam Edmisten, Richard Benge, Mike Cook, Ryan German, Kenny Johnson, and Steve Taylor.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Yadkin Baptist Church, 2044 Roby Martin Rd, Lenoir, NC 28645.
