Daniel Ray Corne Jr. born March 12, 1973, lost his battle to lung cancer at the age of 51 on October 10, 2024.

Preceding him in death are his grandparents; his father, Daniel Ray Corne Sr.; and his daughter Marticia Lynn Sheets.

He is survived by his mother, Nancy McGuire of Lenoir; his son, Cory Daniel Corne of Lenoir; grandchildren, Trinity and Leland Corne; his siblings, Charlene Hutchens of Lenoir, Barbie Lee of Elkin, and brother, Michael Cameron of Winston Salem; his nieces, Madison Lynn Hayes and Alyssa Freeman; and many friends and loved ones.

His wishes were to have his body donated to science at Wake Forest University.

A memorial service will be held at Perks Event Space, 2762 Morganton Blvd, Lenoir, NC 28645 on October 20, 2024 from 2:30pm until 6:30pm.
