Dannie Ray Prestwood, age 81, of Lenoir, NC, passed away on August 19, 2023.

Dannie was born to the late Luther and Helen Prestwood in Caldwell County, NC.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Prestwood and sister, Lois Greene.

Those left to cherish Dannie's memory include his wife, Hazel Prestwood; sons, Gary Prestwood (Leslea) and Bobby Prestwood (Leigh Ann); daughter, Tammy Gaston (John); brothers, Tommy Prestwood (Brenda) and Sammy Prestwood (Mary Louise); seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Belleview Cemetery in Lenoir, NC at 11:00am with Pastor Brian Severt and Pastor Tommy Gurley officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Amorem Hospice of Hudson, NC.
