Danny Ray Pittman, age 64, of Lenoir passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Caldwell UNC Health Care. He was born April 16, 1962 in Mitchell County to Betty Stewart Pittman and the late George Wayne Pittman. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by one brother, George L. Pittman.

Those left to cherish his memory in addition to his mother include his loving and devoted wife of 25 years, Vickie Lynn Kirby Pittman; one step-son, Dustin Norwood; one step-daughter, Heather Mitcham; two brothers, Kenny Pittman and wife Tammy and Jimmy Pittman; numerous nieces and nephews; and six beloved grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 3, 2026 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home.
