David Finley Colvard, age 60, of Lenoir passed away Thursday, December 25, 2025. He was born April 27, 1965 in Caldwell County to the late Bradley Colvard and Geraldine "Jeri" Polly Colvard. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Tonda Colvard; and one aunt, Peggy Polly.

Those left to cherish his memory include one brother, Steven Colvard (Jennifer); nephews, Bradley Colvard, Brennan Colvard, and Joshua Shelton (Michelle); nieces, Melissa Gee (Kyle Church), Danielle Ferguson, and Jessica Corum (Nathan); uncles, Harry Polly (Janice) and Herman Polly; great-nieces, Adalynn Church, Grace Shelton, Fiona Corum, and Maelle Corum; great-nephews, Liam Church, Peyton Shelton, and Clark Corum; and cousins, Jon David Polly (Tracy), AJ Polly, Sam Polly, Toby Polly, and Tammy Gray (Ricky).

Memorial services will be held Friday, January 16, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Josh Hughes officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
