Obituary

David G. McDonald, 55, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

David was the eldest son of Don and Sandra McDonald. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A proud veteran, David served honorably in both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army, including service during Operation Desert Storm. His strength, courage, and sense of duty carried through every aspect of his life.

Above all, David's greatest accomplishment was his family. He was their protector, their guide, and their unwavering source of love. Like a wolf devoted to his pack, David was a fearless defender of those he loved. His devotion to his family was unmatched.

He shared a deep and undeniable love with his wife, Terrie—the woman he had long waited for and was blessed to find. Together, they built a life rooted in love and commitment.

David was a devoted father and a proud "Pawpaw," roles he cherished deeply. He is lovingly remembered by his children and grandchildren: Alyson McDonald (Lupe), Bryleigh, Valkyrie, and Annelli; Michael McDonald (Mary), Evelyn, Scarlette, and Thomas; Liam McDonald (Bella), Ireland; Emma Brabham (Ryan), Cohen; Abby Coleman (Elliott), Grayson, and baby Coleman; and his bonus daughter, Ashley Clarence (Amber).

In addition to his beloved wife, children, and grandchildren, David is survived by his parents, Don and Sandra McDonald; his brother, Chris McDonald; his sister, Heather Stewart; and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces—all of whom will forever cherish stories of how incredible "Uncle David" was.

David was strong—not only in body, but in the way he loved. He stood up for others, gave a voice to those who could not find theirs, and remained fiercely loyal to his many lifelong friends.

His legacy of love, protection, and unwavering loyalty will live on in all who knew him.
