Mr. David Kimberly Reese, age 90, of Lenoir passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Brockford Inn Assisted Living in Granite Falls.

Born December 22, 1934 in Madison County, NC, David was a son of the late Bernie and Nola Plemmons Reese.  David was graduate of Colletsville High School and an Army veteran.  He enjoyed talking to people, reading and studying history.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Cleo "Marie" Pierce; a sister in law, Helen Reese.

Survivors include a brother, Jasper B. Reese; a niece, Melinda; four nephews, John, Brian, Scott and Eric.

A celebration of David's life will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Greer-McElveen Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
