Dean Holland, age 70, of Lenoir, NC, went to be with the lord on July 3, 2023.

Mr. Holland was born in Burke County, NC to the late Horace Holland and Alamanda Greene.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Mary Ann Holland; step daughter Christy Jones; step son Jerome Chandler; sisters Jeannette Hull and Mary Ann Pitts; and brother David Holland.

Dean served honorably in the 82nd airborne division of the United States Army. Dean loved his country with all his heart. He loved to watch cowboy movies. He was a loving husband, father, and brother. He grew up in Valdese, NC and loved the small town life. He worked at Myra's Diner in Valdese, NC, where he made the best pizza in town. He worked the majority of his life at Valdese Manufacturing and also at Johnny's Tire in Valdese for a few years.  He was a huge racing fan. Dale Earnhardt was his favorite driver. Dean was a man of God and was a very kind and compassionate man who dedicated his time to care for his mother who was ill for several years before her passing. He truly had a servant's heart.

He was a member of Burkemont Baptist in Morganton for a long time and then spent several years at Calvary Baptist in Lenoir when he was physically able.
