Dewey J.D. Coffey, age 80, of Lenoir, NC passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

Dewey was born to the late Harrison and Arizona Coffey on April 11, 1945.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Coffey; brothers, Donald Coffey, Ralph Coffey, and Claude Coffey; and sisters, Mary "Cookie" Icenhour, Shirley Coffey, and Connie Lea Coffey.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Justin D. Coffey (Crystal Shatley), Jamey D. Coffey, Dewey J.D. Coffey Jr. (Misty), Jacob D. Coffey (Tracy), and Scott Chapman (Wendy); daughters, Betty Duckworth (John), April Dawn Coffey (Johnny Bumgarner), Amanda Coffey (Tommy), Amy Coffey, and Michele Chapman (Clark); and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dewey was a hardworking man. He worked at Lenoir Mirror Company from the time he was a teenager until he retired. He was well loved, and will be dearly missed.
