Dixie Roselee Winfrey McMichael, age 67, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025.

Dixie was born in Muncie, Indiana on May 3, 1958.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, William Loften McMichael and her brother, Tom Winfrey.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Nathane Thomas McMichael, Jeremiah Daniel McMichael, James Clark McMichael; daughter, Natalie Elizabeth Bell (David); sister, Melody Bonner (Kevin); and grandchildren, Nikolai McMichael and Serafina McMichael.

Dixie lit up any room she walked into. She was friends with everyone. If someone came into her house, she was automatically a mother to them. She never met a stranger. Dixie was kind and loving. Any time a hug was received from her, the person automatically felt safe in her arms. She will be dearly missed.

A private celebration of life will be held by the family at a later time.
