Doris Reece Hall, age 82, of Hickory passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Carolina Caring in Newton.

Doris was born in Caldwell County on November 24, 1942 and was the daughter of the late Collis Reece and Irene McRary Reece. Doris was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Lenoir.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Hall; and three sisters, Peggy Perry, Pat Good, and Susan Tolbert.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Dula and wife Denise of Hickory, and David Dula of Hickory; grandchildren, Hillary Lowman (Lee), Emma Dula, Morgan Edwards, Faith Edwards, and Holly Dula; great-grandchildren, Ava Philyaw, Fitzgerald Lowman, and Allie Johnson; and sisters, Judy Tolbert and Debbie Haynes.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplin Kim Dowell officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
