Doris Mae Mikeal, age 83, of Lenoir passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025 at her residence. She was born January 10, 1942 in Caldwell County to the late Herby Boyd Mikeal and Agnes Greene Mikeal. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one son, Mikeal C. Steele; two brothers, Charles W. Mikeal and Bernce S. Mikeal; and one sister, Ruth M. Helton.

Those left to cherish her memory is one daughter, Shonia Tidwell and husband Philip; one brother, Chester "Check" Mikeal; three grandchildren, Devin Steele, Aaron Steele, and Emma Steele; one great-grandchild, Mikeal C. Steele; numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends; and her two faithful companions, Max and Ava.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Miller Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney Helton and Rev. Marshall Tidwell officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the church.
