Doris Lambert Wallace, 92 of Granite Falls passed away Friday, November 24, 2023 at Amorem of Burke County following a period of declining health.

Doris was born on December 22, 1930 in Caldwell County to the late Donald Lambert and Roxie Watson Lambert. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church where until she became ill, enjoyed participating in all church activities. Doris loved her church family and her neighbors, whom she was very close to. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Wallace; one brother, Harold Lambert; and sisters, Willadean Jackson and Betty Sue Lambert.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Elaine Story (Vernon) of Hudson, and Sheila Church of Granite Falls; grandchildren, Lana Lowman (Doug) and Kris Story; great-grandchildren, Krista Bowman, Kendra Kitler, Lakyn Story and Josh Lowman; eight great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Shirley Briscoe, Mary Kemp, and Carolyn Holder.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir with Pastor Gary Lawrence, Pastor Ron Burgett and Pastor Jim Hamby officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Amorem at 902 Kirkwood Street, NW, Lenoir, NC 28645 or to the Alzheimer's Association at 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
