Doug Blevins, 78, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at his residence.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Benton and Clemmie Blevins; sisters, Kathy and Shirley; brothers, Elmer and Mitchell; and his son, Jeffrey Douglas Blevins.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Ginger Kendrick (Bobby); the mother of his children, Erma Blevins; two granddaughters, Ashley Crockett (Dennis) and Chelsea Crockett Triplett; two grandsons, Blake Blevins and Aaron Blevins; six great-grandsons, Tray, Eyland, Gravlin, Abel, Eddie, and Lincoln; four great-granddaughters, Haven, Jordan, Teagan, and Terri; three sisters, Norma Gilmer (Jim), Judy Morgan, and Debbie Miller (Jimmy); and two brothers, Marshall Blevins (Barbara) and Otis Blevins (Gail).

Doug was a proud member and pianist at Crossroads Community Church. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, a well-known pastor, and one of the best auto body repairmen known.

A funeral service to honor the life of Douglas Blevins will be held on April 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Crossroads Community Church in Hudson, NC, with Rev. Rick Bowman and Bro. Scott Winters officiating. A graveside service will follow immediately after at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir, NC, officiated by Scott Philyaw.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the church.
