Doyle Ray Johnson, age 91, of Granite Falls passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at College Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born April 15, 1932 in Burke County to the late Robert M. and Eva Franklin Johnson. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife, Frankie Pauline Johnson; one son, Roger Johnson; and two sisters, Ann Hatley and Alma Keene.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Linda Laws Hollar Johnson, of the home; one daughter, Sallie Molnar and husband Mark of Ohio; one step-son, Wayne Hollar and wife Jeannie of Lenoir; one step-daughter, Susan Dula and husband Terry of Hudson; two sisters, Nancy Vance and husband John of Lenoir, and Elizabeth Vance and husband Kenneth of Lenoir; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. John Smiley and Rev. Joe Holden. Inurnment will immediately follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
