Mr. Edward Coleman Younce, age 79, of Lenoir met his Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory.

Born November 27, 1945 in Caldwell County, Edward was a son of the late J.C. and Myrtle Kirby Younce.  Edward enjoyed playing and singing bluegrass music.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Marlene Bolick and Dorothy Winkler; three brothers, Willard Younce, Samuel Younce and Kenneth Younce; three brothers in law, Troy Bolick, Cecil Vines and Larry Winkler.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Sarah Kirby Younce; his children, Jeff Younce (wife Amy) and Karen Annas (husband Mark); three sisters, Willa Dean Vines, Sandra Scudder and Carolyn Bentley (husband Roger); his grandchildren, Ethan Younce (wife Tori), Jeremiah Annas, Hannah Murdock (husband Eli), Holly Younce and Cash Younce; two great grandchildren, Karson Younce and Kaisley Younce;  four sisters in law, Lynn Younce, Rebecca Younce, Glenda Watson (Steve Holtclaw) and Mary Dula (husband Tim); he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

There will be a private graveside service held in honor of Edward's life.
