In Loving Memory of Elisa S. Pilato
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Elisa Pilato, who peacefully left this world on September 3rd, surrounded by her family and friends at the age of fifty-six. Elisa was a cherished wife, sister, aunt, dedicated community member, and a true friend to all who were privileged to know her.
Born on April 24,1968, Elisa lived a life marked by love, faith, and unwavering dedication to helping others. She loved animals and donated time and money to several local rescues. Her devotion to her husband, relatives, and friends was evident in every facet of her life, always putting their needs above her own and cherishing every moment spent with them.
As woman of faith, she found strength and solace in her relationship with God, which guided her actions and decisions throughout her life. She was an active member of North Point Community Church of Atlanta and dedicated herself to numerous charities and community functions.
Elisa was a beacon of light to all who knew her and loved to spend time with family and friends. She would spend countless hours listening and lending an ear while supporting others through difficult times. One of her most amazing gifts was her ability to strengthen and develop the best qualities in others. Family, friends, and coworkers would comment regularly on her ability to bring out the best in people.
Elisa was a decorated scholar. She graduated from Long County High School with the highest GPA in the school and Graduated in the top 1% from Georgia Southern University. Elisa also spent 25 years as a Senior Data Engineer for Verizon Business and was known for her ability to bring people together to solve complex data issues.
Elisa is survived by her husband of 25 years, Jeff Pilato; siblings and multiple nieces and nephews who will forever cherish her memory and carry forward her legacy of strength and humility.
A memorial service for Elisa will be held on Saturday, September 14th, 2024, at 2:00pm, at Calvary Advent Church of Lenoir NC., where family and friends are invited to share the joy of having known such a remarkable person.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Clearwater Marine Aquarium or Goathouse Refuge serving Elisa's lifelong commitment to helping animals.
Elisa's departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May she rest in peace, and may her memory bless us all.
